With very little dispute, earlier this week the Charlotte City Council approved another high-rise tower along South Boulevard. In the Monday meeting, no one spoke up and contested the approval of the tower. So with the backing of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Zoning Committee, who unanimously backed the $200 million project last month, the 230-foot tower is one step closer to becoming reality.
Needless to say the Harris Development Group seemed very pleased with the outcome of Monday’s meeting. The Developers applied for the rezoning permit with the intentions of building a 230-foot apartment tower, a 200-plus foot office tower and a 180-foot hotel.
